Mt. Baker Highway - Mt. Shuksan, WA

This adventure took me up north to Mt. Baker Highway.  It was a beautiful day but slightly overcast.  Since summer just started, there was still lots of snow up there.  Unfortunately, Artist Point was closed.  Most of the trip was in the car driving around nice, curvy roads.  Seeing some motorcycles having fun made me wish I had one.  We made several stops to catch the views.

There weren't many trails open and we weren't in the mood to go hiking.  Snow covered much of it but it didn't stop us from finding good areas with a view.

The sun was beginning to poke through the clouds as we made our through.  It was chilly in the overcast, but nice and warm as soon as the sun reflected off the snow.  Some of the plants had snow and dew on them.

This was actually a pretty fierce falls.  The water rushed very rapidly.  I could have easily been swept away.  Thankfully, my survival skills kept me alive and well.

This was a very nice and serene lake.  At this time, the clouds decided to hide the mountains around us.  It was a great atmosphere to be around.

Snow was everywhere although it was surprisingly warm.

This are was gorgeous.  There was an amazing mix of snow, grass, running water, and open air.

Clouds are just deciding to leave.  It was turning out to be a very sunny day.

We spent a good deal of time here running and sliding around.  A few snowballs may have landed on some people's heads.

Being at a place like this makes me happy that i have a camera.  Note to self: find someone to carry a tripod around for me next time =P
