SDCC '07 Panels

I didn't attend many panels this year.  Unfortunately, I missed both the Heroes and Battlestar Galactica panels!  Getting in line to get the Iron Man autographs took up much of Saturday.  Next time, I'm gonna focus more on panels and less on autographs.  But here is what I did see this year.

Just a view of the large 5000+ capacity of Hall H.  This is zoomed in and from far away.  This room is huge!

Andy Samberg and company promoting Hot Rod.  It was fun and entertaining.  Saw a funny extended clip.

Neil Gaiman promoting Stardust.  We saw a really long clip.  Honestly, didn't impress me much.  Maybe it just wasnt' for me.

The presentation for Spiderwick Chronicles.  The authors and some other people were there talking about the film.  They showed a video about how the effects were made.

JJ Abrams speaking about his untitled film currently known as Cloverfield.  I'm excited to see this American monster movie, but I think his brilliant advertising campaign is overhyping it.  And no, he didn't reveal the title...or anything.  I did get a sweet poster though.

Star Trek!  They announced Zachary Quinto would play Spock.  Good choice!  They knew some other casting members but were not allowed to mention it.  Leonard Nimoy showed up later.  He said the choice for his replacement was 'logical'.

The Lost panel was smart and very clever.  In an attempt to not disclose information, they had little bells that they rang in case one of them said too much.  The questions asked by the audience was great.
