SolidWorks Tie Fighter

Due to the rise of 3D modeling programs in engineering, students are being trained to use programs like SolidWorks and Catia.  Aside from doing basic projects and homeworks, we were also allowed to use the program creatively using the skills we learned.  I pondered what I would do for my final project and decided to make a Tie Fighter from Star Wars.  It didn't take as long as I thought.  The symmetry of the ship made the work much simpler.

The entire ship was built from 5 unique pieces: body, arm, window, hatch and wing.  I could use the same parts to form both sides in the assembly.
