Wizard-con 2004, Long Beach, CA

This was my first larger convention experiences and also my first outside of the state.  This was something my brother invited me to so I flew down to spend a weekend with him.  I didn't take many pictures, but I now know that whenever I go to an event, I should definitely bring a camera!

A beautiful shot of the building.

As we were getting to Long Beach looking for the convention, we found ourselves driving on a race track.  I can't remember what race goes on here, but all the sidewalks were barricaded and there bleachers facing the streets.  It felt really cool being on pavement that was going to host some really fast cars.

I found out David Carradine was there, so I went out and bought this poster for him to sign.  He was friendly but didn't say a word.  I didn't know what to say either.  I think he was the first celebrity I've met.  He did draw a ying yang next to his signature.

Here's a close up shot of the autograph and his artwork.

While we were there, four US voice actors for the show Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex were signing.  The line was short and the autographs were free, so I thought why not?  I've seen some of the show in Japanese, and I think its worth looking in to.  I enjoyed the movies.

Motoko Kusanagi and Saito.

Togusa.  The camera didn't pick up the ink very well, but I assure you its there.

Batou.  I thought it was neat that they took the time to write little messages.
